UPDATE

So, this blog. Well. I have to face the fact that I am probably not going to be an Awesome Blogger anytime in the near future because:

1. I have three children now.
2. I'd really like to be an excellent mother to them. (Not to say that it's impossible for other people to have three kids and be awesome mothers and awesome bloggers at the same time. I'm just finding that I'm probably not that talented or motivated.)
3. I already spend way too much time on the computer anyway. I'm looking at you, awesome blogger mommies.
4. Things are so CRAZY around here! I mean for REAL!

I keep thinking that as soon as THIS thing is over, in just a few days, life won't be so hectic anymore. I'm not complaining, because most of it is very good stuff, but wow, there's not a lot of sitting down going on around here!

So, currently:

  • We are enjoying our new (to us) Toyota Sienna! I was so resistant to being a van driver, but it is soooo much better. I love my door-opening button and I love buckling the little ones in without contorting my body like a circus performer.
  • We are working on selling our house, our Toyota Avalon, and various other items that we don't want to pack up because...
  • We are moving back to Provo! Oh my HECK! (I have to start saying that again.) Jared was accepted into the EIME PhD program and he starts classes this fall. We are slightly disappointed that we're not going to UCLA, but we know this is the Lord's plan for us and we're SOOO excited about so many things at BYU! Yay for being a poor student family again!
  • We are getting ready to homeschool next year. But that's a whole other post. Whoa.
  • We are mourning the loss of my dear Grandpa G. We attended his funeral in Utah last weekend and it was beautiful. It still hasn't really sunk in for me that he's gone. I just love him so much.
  • We are working on Thomas's science project about the phases of the moon. He wants to be a scientist and when he saw the science fair fliers in the hallway at school, he grabbed one for himself. I'm so glad he did because we have ALL learned so much about the moon!
  • I am truly learning to embrace and enjoy motherhood. It is harder than it has ever been, but for some reason it is also more fulfilling than ever. That needs its own post as well!
  • We are loving our three-year-old Kimball! He's obsessed with super heroes, he's potty trained now, and he's soooo funny. My favorite recent Kimball moment was at the funeral: "Kimball, this is Uncle Danny. Stay away from him because he's sick." [Kimball stares and then walks away, coming back a few minutes later.] "I'm Kimball. Are you still sick?" The best part is that he has a little lisp, so it's more like, "Are you thtill thick?"
  • We are reading and reading and reading. Thomas, Jared, and I each have our own Goodreads account and it's so fun to add books and see what other people are reading. I highly recommend it. I also highly recommend reading. It's amazing.
  • We are LOVING the daily delights of this little dolly: Two months old! (March 22nd) And that's the update!

Oh Kristy, she is SO cute! Don't you just love all the cute little girl clothes? I know this post was about a lot of other things, but she kind of steals the show. :)

Holy wow, that is a lot of stuff. I was so afraid you were going to say you were walking away from the blog forever, please never do that as I feel that is my only insight into your life. Provo? Wow! We almost moved to Denver and if that had worked out I would have cried myself to sleep if you then moved away. Turns out, we're going to LA - so yes, I too wish Jared had gotten into UCLA. Homeschool - wow. You, of course will do so great, I've been wanting to ask you about Thomas and school. I hope you find a good support group so you don't have to do everything yourself, if you think you're busy now I'm guessing you'll get more busy. This is getting so very long, why don't I just write you a real e-mail....

I love this post but you made me so tired - you are a busy mommy! I too was worried you were going to announce the end of blogging, so I'm glad that didn't come into the mix. The pictures of your Little Doll make me smile. That dress is gorgeous. She is such a serious little babe at times. Give them all hugs!

thanks for the update! Wow! back to BYU and homeschooling and 3 kids and moving...so much on your plate. I'm sure you're handling everything much better than you think you are. :) Good luck with it everything. I'll have to invite you on Goodreads so I can get your suggestions. Don't you love books?

So amazingly excited for you guys to be back in my home town. I love that place. I love you guys. It's perfect. And to live close to BYU again is going to be so darn awesome. That's right, so darn awesome. I love that place. Did I mention that?

Is a PhD the only way to get back to Provo? Must brainstorm . . .

That's exciting that you are moving to Provo. Congrats on the new car. And homeschooling? Whoa. I'm looking forward to reading about that in a future post. It's nothing you can't handle. ;)
